Wück Presents Championship Trophy to Bayern Women’s Football Team

Bundestrainer Christian Wück will present the championship trophy to the FC Bayern women’s football team on Sunday. According to the German Football Association (DFB), Wück will be joined by DFB Vice President Sabine Mammitzsch in the delegation that will hand over the title to the players at the FC Bayern Campus stadium.

Before the trophy presentation, the German champions and DFB Cup winners will host SGS Essen at 2:00 PM in the final match of the Bundesliga season. The Munich team, coached by the outgoing Alexander Straus, secured the championship title on the 20th matchday with a 3:1 victory at home against SC Freiburg.

Struggle for Runner-Up Position

Meanwhile, the runner-up position is still up for grabs, with VfL Wolfsburg (48 points) competing against Eintracht Frankfurt (47 points). Wolfsburg aims to secure a home victory against fourth-placed Bayer 04 Leverkusen (43 points) to eliminate any uncertainties regarding direct qualification for the Champions League. At the same time, Eintracht will visit eighth-placed RB Leipzig (27 points).
