Positive Update on His Condition
Kevin Müller, the goalkeeper for 1. FC Heidenheim, is reported to be feeling „significantly better“ following a severe collision during a Bundesliga match against VfL Bochum. This update was shared by the club’s chairman, Holger Sanwald, during an interview with ZDF Sports Studio. „He is responsive and answering normally, although he is still experiencing some dizziness,“ Sanwald noted.
The 34-year-old Müller sustained a serious concussion during the match on Friday night, which ended in a 0-0 draw. He was moved to the general ward of Heidenheim Clinic on Saturday morning. „He is doing well again. We are hopeful that he will be back soon. He is already asking when he can return to the field,“ Sanwald added.
Details of the Incident
Müller collided with opponent Ibrahima Sissoko while contesting for the ball and was initially left unconscious on the ground. After receiving more than ten minutes of treatment, he was carried off on a stretcher to encouraging cheers of „Kevin Müller“ from both sets of fans and transported to Heidenheim Clinic. FCH coach Frank Schmidt explained that it was a classic knockout and expressed hopes for a quick recovery.
