Bayern Munich’s sporting director Christoph Freund has firmly stated that there will be no early departure for star striker Harry Kane. In an interview with Abendzeitung and t-online.de, Freund said, „This is not a topic.“ Kane, who recently celebrated his first major club title with Bayern Munich by winning the German championship, is contracted until the summer of 2027, which includes a release clause.
The 100 million euro striker reportedly included a clause in his four-year deal upon joining from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023, allowing him to leave early for a lower double-digit million fee each summer.
However, it seems that this year is not the time for such a move, as Kane feels comfortable both in his sporting role and with his family in Munich. He has finally achieved the long-awaited first title of his career.
Furthermore, the departure of his England teammate Eric Dier from the German record champions does not directly affect Kane. Freund noted, „Harry is generally very well-respected in the team. He gets along well with everyone. He is fully integrated into life here and has acclimatized wonderfully in Munich.“
