According to a report by „Bild“, Bayern Munich has come to an agreement with national player Florian Wirtz regarding a future move to the club. The 22-year-old has expressed his desire to join the German record champions from Munich, indicating that he does not wish to transfer to any other club.
Next, Bayern Munich must negotiate a transfer with Wirtz’s current club, Bayer Leverkusen. As of now, no negotiations have taken place. Wirtz is under contract with Leverkusen until 2027.
„Bild“ reports that the Munich club intends to offer a transfer fee of 100 million euros this summer. If this amount is insufficient, Wirtz is prepared to wait until 2026 for a potential transfer.
There have been no official reactions to this news so far.
Previously, Bayern’s sports director Max Eberl remained cautious when asked about the possibility of Wirtz’s transfer to Munich. He stated that he was not following the reports closely, acknowledging that the topic has been lingering in public discourse for some time. Eberl mentioned, „We will do our jobs, have ideas and thoughts. We will look at what can be implemented and realized. Then we will see how the squad looks for the Club World Cup and the new season.“
Wirtz is considered a top transfer target for Bayern Munich this summer. Supervisory board members Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge have both spoken highly of the Leverkusen player.
