Frans Krätzig, a U21 national player, is reportedly on the verge of being transferred from Bayern Munich to RB Salzburg. According to reports from TV channel Sky, there is a complete verbal agreement between the defender, who is currently on loan at 1. FC Heidenheim, and the Austrian club. Bayern Munich is said to be largely in agreement with Salzburg, although no official statements have been released regarding the matter.
For a permanent transfer of the native Nuremberg player this summer, a transfer fee of €3.5 million has been mentioned.
Krätzig has a contract with Bayern Munich until the summer of 2027. He joined the youth ranks of the Munich club in 2017 from 1. FC Nürnberg. In the summer of 2024, Krätzig was loaned to VfB Stuttgart, but he had limited playing time there, leading to an early termination of the loan. He then moved to Heidenheim in January of this year, where he has established himself as a regular in the team.
